Job Description

GEICO is looking for an accomplished customer obsessed and results oriented Senior Product Manager to join GEICOs Product team.

GEICO is looking for an accomplished customer obsessed and results oriented Sr. Product Manager Insurance Platform Services to join GEICOs Sales Capabilities team. As Sr. Product Manager you will work crossfunctionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. You will support crossfunctional teams focused on improving the customer experience modernizing our experience and platforms and leapfrogging the competition to grow and maintain market share.

This position is preferably a hybrid role however exceptional remote candidates will be considered.

Hybrid locations include: Washington DC Fredericksburg VA San Jose/San Francisco CA & Seattle WA

Product Management at GEICO

In this dynamic role youll be key to driving GEICOs digital transformation by being part of a growing Product Organization working in crossfunctional teams to implement cutting edge technologies foster a culture of innovation and ensure seamless integration of digital solutions across the organization.

About This Role

If selected you will be responsible for working with Technology and Business on requirements describing and managing the solution of a specific product or initiative while also coordinating/communicating between different workstreams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to do the work while also influencing organizational change through proper scoping process improvement and positive team dynamics.

The ideal candidate is excellent at:

  • Leading crossfunctional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
  • Synthesizing business market and platform data to identify opportunities size them and turn insights into requirements.
  • Owning and prioritizing the longterm 6 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes working closely with a crossfunctional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned to ensure that and your team will be successful.
  • Leveraging modern architecture & great design to identify problemsolution fit.
  • Evaluating tradeoffs and negotiating requirements.
  • Creating and using compelling informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision Roadmaps Features/Epics Progress Updates etc..
  • Understanding of current and future state architecture.
  • Evaluating and decomposing user needs into technical features and stories.
  • Handson experience with building implementing and monitoringAPIs.
  • Identifying and measuring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates.
  • Having an endtoend understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business.
  • Coaching and mentoring other Product Managers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management
  • At least 5 years of experience translating features into consumer or associate facing products
  • At least 7 years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • At least 7 years leading crossfunctional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery
  • At least 3 years of experience building and shipping technical products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience driving product vision gotomarket strategy and design discussions
  • Experience managing daytoday technical and design direction
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management Engineering UX/UI Sales Customer Support Finance or Marketing
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • High sense of accountability and strong problemsolving skills
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field such as software engineering or computer science
  • Agile certifications preferred (i.e. SAFe Scrum Alliance Scrum ICAgile PMIACP)


Annual Salary

$146575.00 $229600.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role the selected candidates work experience education and training the work location as well as market and business considerations.
