Job Description

Location:Various Sites Across Canada 100 Travel Required)
Start Date: To Be Determined
Reports To: Head of Wind Operations


Position Summary:

We are seeking skilled and certifiedRope Access Blade Repair Techniciansto join our dynamic team of renewable energy professionals. This position is responsible for inspecting and repairing fiberglass and composite wind turbine blades hub/nose cones and nacelles using rope access techniques. Technicians must hold valid certifications and be ready to travel to various sites across Canada.

Required Certifications:

  • IRATAorSPRATRope Access Certification
  • FULL GWO Certification including:
    • Basic Safety Training (BST)
    • Advanced Rescue Training (ART)
    • Basic Technical Training (BTT)
  • Additional certificationssuch as:
    • Arc Flash / NFPA70E
    • Confined Space & Rescue
    • WHMIS
    • Respirator Fit Testing
    • Lock Out & Tag Out (LOTO) procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Category 15 repairs independently without supervision
  • Train Level 1 & 2 technicians across all repair categories
  • Review and submit blade repair documentation to Operations Manager & Engineering
  • Complete daily team time tracking via Daily Work Report (DWR)
  • Conduct internal & external blade inspections and defect analysis

Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined background and proven ability to use tools and repair materials correctly
  • Validdrivers licenseand clean driving record
  • Must pass a background check

Additional Information:

  • All transportation to/from Canadian work sites will be provided
  • This position requires excellent teamwork communication and attention to detail
  • Candidates must be safetyconscious and compliant with all field protocols
  • Applicants must be Canadian citizens permanent residents or possess a valid work permit.
