Job Description

Title Member Service Representative 2

Pay Range $2224 per hour.

Location: InBranch Lake Forest CA 92630

**Job Summary**
The Member Service Representative 2 is responsible for providing exceptional service to credit union members by handling their financial and loanrelated transactions accurately and efficiently either in person or over the phone. They will also assist members in maximizing the profitability of their business relationship with the credit union and work towards meeting service and sales goals.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Process transactions relating to new accounts certificates and IRAs.
  • Input member transaction requests for account data changes deposits cash withdrawals transfers check withdrawals loan payments travelers checks savings bonds and money orders.
  • Answer member questions regarding credit union products services and general credit union policies in a friendly and courteous manner both in person and over the phone.
  • Input loan applications follow up on loan decisions and fund loans.
  • Balance to computergenerated totals within the required timeframe.
  • Follow credit union policies and procedures to minimize exposure to loss or fraud.
  • Meet or exceed assigned performance standards and goals regarding member utilization of credit union products and services.


**Secondary Duties and Responsibilities**

  • Stay informed about credit union products services procedures new developments and competitors products.
  • Continuously develop knowledge in sales and service technical skills and professional growth through available internal and external resources.
  • Demonstrate proficiency and ability in core competencies as periodically required.


**Qualifications**
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education/Experience: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or six months to oneyear related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read interpret and communicate effectively using documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals and routine reports. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Math Ability: Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret numerical data.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization.
Computer Skills: Proficient in 10key Word Excel Outlook and internet browsing. Symitar knowledge is preferred.

**Work Environment**
Primarily indoor office work with a quiet to moderate noise level.
Occasional work outside the office.
Occasional local travel.
The position requires working on Saturdays.
