Job Description
Location: Canberra All Locations (Remote)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect preferably within a federal government department and a strong background in technical leadership on complex projects particularly those involving system migrations. They will possess solid expertise in designing both highlevel and detailed solutions for migrating inhouse systems to the Azure cloud including services such as Active Directory SharePoint Exchange and the establishment of virtual desktop infrastructure. Experience with the development and migration of Azure DevOps pipelines and platforms is essential along with familiarity in configuring Azure Virtual Networks including hybrid network architectures. A sound understanding of cyber security controls specifically the Information Security Manual (ISM) OWASP and the Essential Eight is expected particularly within the context of federal government environments. The candidate must also have indepth technical knowledge of the Azure cloud platform. The ability to work independently build effective relationships and engage with a wide range of stakeholders including business users development teams Azure specialists cyber security professionals and enterprise architects is critical. Strong communication skills are essential particularly in translating business requirements into clear and concise design documentation using precise language technical diagrams and accurate technical details.

Essential Criteria:
- Proven ability to interpret business needs and design suitable solutions within Azurebased cloud environments.
- Extensive experience in creating both highlevel and detailed design solutions for transitioning existing services to Azure or developing new services within Azure with particular emphasis on Azure DevOps.
- Strong capability to foster effective working relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders including enterprise architects cyber security teams and cloud operations to gain approval for proposed designs.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical roles on complex initiatives ideally involving system migration projects.
Desirable Criteria:
- Proven experience in successfully planning and executing the migration of solutions between organisations.
- Background in working with data solutions DevOps practices continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) integration architectures geospatial or largescale data processing and API or serviceoriented architectures.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision within an Agile development environment.
