Job Description
Were a fastmoving tech startup based in Mainz Germany building smart tech that thrives on data (and powered by a bit of startup chaos rooted in the foundry industry with a mission to transform the procurement and production of castings through automated processes offering castings 3Dsand printing and engineering services. Established in November 2023 were expanding our team to enhance our data analysis team. We believe in smart solutions lean processes and creating real impact through clean code and userfirst products.
Were looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join us in building and improving our automated Data Pipelines to get instant Insights about our Operations form the business data.
Tasks
- Dive into datasets explore trends and build models that help drive decisions
- Work on realworld machine learning problems like prediction classification or clustering
- Help us set up and run small experiments or A/B tests
- Clean transform and validate datasets (yup data wrangling is part of the deal)
- Contribute to improving our data pipeline and internal automation and data tools
- Collaborate with our dev and product teams to put your work into action
- Occasionally write or tweak bash scripts to automate workflows or handle data on our Linuxbased systems
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Data Science Business Analytics Computer Science Economics or related field
- Solid skills in Statistics and Python and willing to use Excel (if really required)
- Basic experience with SQL and working with databases
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Looker Studio Tableau Power BI) is a plus
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a problemsolving attitude
- Curious proactive and eager to grow in a fastpaced startup environment
- Fluent in English (German is a plus)
