Rochambeau The French International School of Washington DC (Rochambeau) has an opening for a Sciences conomiques et sociales (SES) / economics Teacher Secondary School Part Timefor the school year. This position will consist of a parttime assignment teaching French Baccalaureate SES.

Salary Information:The fulltime salary range is $49911$109469 per the Faculty CBA Salary Scale. The Salary for this parttime role will be prorated. Teachers will be hired and employed in the highest category of teaching staff to which they are entitled in accordance with the degrees and certifications that they hold and the subjects and levels that they teach.

As an international school we will consider applications from candidates who:

• Plan for and provide secondarylevel classroom instruction in Sciences conomiques et sociales / economics in accordance with the French Curriculu.
• Prepare administer and grade tests and assignments to assess students academic progress regularly.
• Develop curriculum instructional materials assessment tools and lesson plans according to the needs and interests of students fulfilling the criteria of the French curriculum.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students creating a learning environment to achieve academic focus and success.
• Select books and instructional aids appropriate to the interests and maturity level of students.
• Evaluate students academic performance behavior social development and physical health and maintain accurate and complete student records.
• Provide remedial programs for students who have not achieved language competency commensurate with their potential. Meet with department colleagues to evaluate student placement test results monitor and assess student performance throughout the year to determine each students current placement level and discuss other departmental concerns.
• Participate in appropriate inservice programs or other professional development parentteacher conferences and faculty meetings as required or requested. Perform all administrative and teaching duties in a bilingual environment.
• Participates in parentteacher conferences as required or requested and attends teachers meetings.
• Participates in curriculum and other developmental meetings.
• Participates in appropriate inservice programs or other professional development.
• Evaluate student performance maintain records for individual students and prepare report cards each trimester.
• Acts as liaison between students parents and school staff regarding the Secondary school SES program.

• Education:Bachelors degree (advanced degree preferred) in SES / economics or a related field.
• Certification:Sciences conomiques et socialescertification is strongly preferred (certifi(e) or agrg(e) from the French Ministry of Education or an equivalent teaching certification from a francophone country). Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience. Candidates with a strong academic background such as a university degree in economics or related fields and solid teaching experience in this subject area will also be considered.
• Experience: Aminimum of two 2 years of teaching experience in SES / economics is required.
