The Opportunity
Hi Im Karen; VP Finance at Thrive Health. Were looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join us! The Intermediate Accountantwill be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable processing transactions reconciling accounts running payroll and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in finance and Canadian payroll excellent attention to detail exceptional communication skills the ability to work within deadlines and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
What Your DaytoDay Will Look Like:
Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Manage the full accounting cycle including General Sales Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) calculations and filings;
- Perform bank credit card and GL reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records;
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online;
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions;
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll efficiently using Rippling ensuring timely and accurate compensation for all employees;
- Manage employee benefits;
- Address payrollrelated inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly;
Financial Operations
- Oversee invoicing and expense management through Float ensuring compliance with company policies;
- Coordinate monthend close procedures including the preparation of financial statements and reports;
The Skills You Bring:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field;
- 45 years experience in accounting bookkeeping and payroll administration;
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Rippling Float and Microsoft Excel;
- Strong understanding of GST and PST regulations and compliance;
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Superior communication skills in English both written and verbal;
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively;
- Proficiency in remote tooling (Slack Gsuite Meet Zoom etc);
- Experience in the healthcare technology or SaaS industries is a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Salary Information: The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including but not limited to jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training. The base salary range for this role is $65000 $75000/year.
