Now Hiring: Machine Operator Apprentice
Location: Rogers MN
Pay: $22.00$26.00 per hour depending on experience
Shift: MondayThursday 5:00am3:30pm overtime on Fridays when needed 5am11am)
Employment Type: Full time Trial to hire
About this Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator Apprentice to join our team of precision metal fabricators. In this role you will rotate between a variety of machining positions based on business needs working with equipment such as the router table shear emmegi and press brake machines. You will be responsible for machine setup and operation ensuring precise measurements while maintaining safety and quality standards. Over time the apprentice will gain proficiency in material alignment tooling selection and making necessary adjustments throughout the production process.
What Youll Be Doing:
Read analyze and understand shop drawings blueprints and/or sketches
Layout parts (without drawings) and make basis modifications to programs for complex custom pieces
Engage in learning about the job specifications with fellow team members to guarantee quality meet tolerances and provide excellence in achieving customers needs.
Operate the router table emmegi shear or press brake machines making necessary adjustments to programing and setup throughout each job as needed.
Excellent communication skills to immediate team members and management if and when questions arise.
Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality using micrometer tape gauge template or rule and square for conformance to specifications.
Perform daily weekly and monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity including lubrication cleaning and tool replacement
Follow company safety procedures assess your personal actions and ensure the safety of others in close proximity and report any safety issues as needed.
What makes you a great fit:
1 years of experience with the layout and operation of one or more of the following: router table emmegi hydraulic shear AccurPress brake preferably in a custom metal fabrication shop.
Possessing the willingness and ability to learn new machines and techniques. Always be in pursuit of sharpening the tool (your mind and skillset).
Ability to read analyze and interpret shop/fabrication drawings.
Energetic dependable and capable of working at a fast pace.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
