Job Description
Experience: 58 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Lead to oversee and manage the support of our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database programming performance tuning and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of applications providing root cause analysis (RCA) and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Expertise:Develop and optimize SQL queries for MS SQL and PostgreSQL to enhance application performance focusing on indexing and query efficiency.
- Deployment and Troubleshooting:Manage application deployments in Docker troubleshoot issues and ensure rapid resolution to minimize downtime.
- Code Management:Check in code changes review application data flow transaction flow and code flow to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Root Cause Analysis:Provide detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents communicating findings to both clients and engineering teams effectively.
- Documentation:Create and maintain support documentation and RCA documents to ensure clear communication and knowledge transfer.
- Collaboration:Work closely with engineering teams to address application issues provide insights on architecture and recommend improvements.
- Technical Support:Provide advanced technical support to clients and internal teams ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- System Knowledge:Maintain a solid understanding of network architecture Linux server environments and application frameworks to troubleshoot effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in application support database management or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in MS SQL and PostgreSQL including database programming and performance tuning.
- Experience with Docker for application deployment and management.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on performance issues and application flow.
- Strong understanding of application architecture transaction flow and data flow.
- Familiarity with Linux server administration and network architecture.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of monitoring tools for performance tracking and alerting.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Bash Python) for automation.
