Integration Specialist
Location: Stellenbosch (Hybrid)
Type: FullTime Permanent
Salary: R67600 Basic per month

About the Role
As an Integration Specialist youll be responsible for shaping and supporting integration architecture and messaging standards across the business. Working closely with system architects programmers and stakeholders youll ensure seamless integration of services that enhance the performance and scalability of healthcare IT systems. This is a hybrid role based at the head office in Stellenbosch requiring both technical expertise and strategic input.

Key Responsibilities
- Set and manage standards for integration messaging (e.g. HL7 FHIR)
- Support the development of integration architecture standards and processes
- Analyse business and technical requirements to design flexible integration solutions
- Participate in the requirement analysis design internal testing and documentation of integrations (new and existing)
- Maintain a register of APIs web services and integration points
- Work collaboratively with system architects developers and key stakeholders
- Assist with the operational management of integration systems
Requirements
- Degree or formal certification in ICT/Computer Science (essential)
- 35 years experience as an Integration Specialist or Analyst (essential)
- API Management experience (advantageous)
- Coding background
- Strong understanding of data structures and data transfer mechanisms
- Ability to create read and edit XML/JSON schema definitions
- HL7 or FHIR knowledge (essential)
- Familiarity with Intersystems IRIS for Health
- SQL querying experience
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs Web Services and Queuing systems
- Ability to translate information requirements into service/API design
