OSAM is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Technology team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated a passion for solving business problems with technology and possess strong programming experience. This position is a handson role responsible for developing supporting and maintaining a firmwide trading datarich platform supported by applications APIs and visualization tools. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to interface directly with OSAMs trading team.
The position will be in either Stamford CT or New York City with a hybrid work schedule (partially remote).
Work directly with the Trading team to enhance the trading application based on new usecases product launches and changes to the trading workflows.
Performance tuning of the C# clientserver Trading application so its more responsive as volumes grow
Design and develop cloudnative solutions in C# and SQL to promote consistency of use of the Firmwide data platform across numerous analytical tools.
Drive a technology strategy with increased levels of automation to reduce risk and enhance data quality and associated controls
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field of study. Advanced Degree a plus.
7 years of prior professional programming experience (preferred).
Advanced C# and SQL experience.
Working knowledge working with Windows environments and cloudbased technologies (Azure).
Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to nontechnical.
Experience with equity products and associated market data pricing and risk concepts
Resultsoriented team player with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
Strong analytical skillset with demonstrated attention to detail.
Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly and work in a dynamic environment.
Leadership and/or managerial experience; position will likely manage other developers
Additional desired experience:
Experience working in the front office environment with investment and trading teams
SQL Server experience
Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD and infrastructureascode
Experience with the following technologies: GIT App Containers Microservices & APIs shell scripting messaging buses
Experience using DevExpress Winforms is a plus
Along with base compensation other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus 401k plan health insurance and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. At Franklin Templeton we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $128000 $175000 per year plus bonus opportunity.
