Job Description

Work Flexibility: Hybrid

Are you passionate about developing and creating products that help improve patient care and outcomes through the development of computerassisted surgical systems

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our R&D team focusing on software development for advanced navigation in orthopaedic surgery. In this role youll have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a cuttingedge solution for computerassisted surgery that can have a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Our offer to you:

  • You will perform problem solving identify potential solutions and evaluate them.

  • You will implement software components in C/Qt on a Linux platform.

  • You will work in a multidisciplinary team of software engineers and domain experts.

  • Evaluate the performance of developed algorithms using appropriate metrics.

  • Document research findings algorithms and results in reports.

That makes you stand out:

  • You are currently enrolled in a masters programme in computer science biomedical engineering or a related field.

  • You have experience in objectoriented programming (C/Java etc. and a strong interest in developing highperformance software.

  • You have a background in computer vision image processing and/or machine learning.

  • Familiarity with medical imaging (CT MRI) and segmentation techniques is a plus.

  • You have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

  • You have good communication and documentation skills in English.

Start Date: September or October 2025

Duration: 6 months

Location: Freiburg
