Reports To: ESY CoordinatorDanvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year Middle School Special Education Teacher for the ESY program. This is a nonbenefited parttime seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a MondaythroughThursday program running from July 7 2025 to August 7 2025Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Middle School Special Education Teacher to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting middle school students with diverse learning needs including autism learning disabilities socialemotional challenges and communication disorders. In this role you will collaborate with students and stakeholders to develop and implement individualized learning plans utilize datadriven strategies to monitor progress and create an inclusive supportive classroom environment.Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct individualized instruction to students with disabilities in whole group small group and/or oneonone settings.Use a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage students with different learning styles including assistive technology visual aids and handson activities.Implement behavior management techniques including positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) to foster a safe respectful and supportive classroom environment.Provide social and emotional support to students helping them develop selfregulation skills build confidence and improve social interactions.Collaborate with other school specialists such as speech therapists occupational therapists and counselors BCBAs to provide comprehensive services to students.Complete required documentation including data collection and progress reports in a timely and accurate manner.Additional Information:
