Position Description St. Valentine School is in need of a middle school history or science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking to hire a teacher who will be able to demonstrate knowledge and practice of creating a classroom environment that is founded in the Catholic Faith and provides a safe secure nurturing environment to develop the whole child: academically socially emotionally and spiritually. Qualifications/Requirements All teachers in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Detroit shall be certified and /or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan. All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach. All teachers who are catechists (teachers of religion) must be certified by the Department of Evangelization Catechesis and Schools. Candidates for the position should hold a BA in Elementary Education.
