Position Title: Middle School Lunchroom MonitorLocation: FHTMSJob Group: NonUnion Support StaffPay Level: Non ExemptReports To: Building PrincipalSummary: Monitors student behavior and assists in the operation of the lunchroom to maintain a safe andrespectful environment. The Monitor may also periodically supervise outdoor Duties and Responsibilities:1. Assists students preserves order and protects school property while strategically located among students inthe lunchroom.a. Takes appropriate action to quell disruption and/or inappropriate behavior in accordance with schoolprocedures.b. Monitors lunch times carefully in order to ensure a timely release of all students and releases students bytable/section at the scheduled times. Provides direction to students over the microphone.c. Ensures that students clean up tables before they are released for recess and assists with cleaning thetables and preparing the cafeteria for the next set of students.2. Assists administration with the supervision of students during recess and outside of the lunchroom.a. Takes appropriate action to quell disruption and/or inappropriate behavior in accordance with schoolprocedures.b. Monitors recess times carefully in order to ensure a timely return of all students to the classroom.3.
