We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer with expertise in Linux server and network administration. This role involves maintaining the clients core infrastructure ensuring optimal security performance and availability. Key Responsibilities:
- Linux Server Administration:
- Install configure and maintain Linux servers (e.g. Ubuntu CentOS Red Hat).
- Conduct system monitoring troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Manage updates patches and enforce security standards.
- Network Administration:
- Configure and manage network devices (e.g. routers switches firewalls) and manage BGP peering.
- Oversee DNS DHCP and VPNs (OpenVPN) ensuring secure network operations.
- System Support and Maintenance:
- Provide timely technical support and conduct root cause analysis for infrastructurerelated issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement security measures and conduct regular audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and manage vulnerability assessments.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Manage backup systems and develop disaster recovery plans.
- Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 35 years in systems administration with Linux and network management expertise.
- Experience with MTCNA/MTCRE network hardware and Autonomous Systems (AS).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Linux OS (Ubuntu CentOS Red Hat).
- Solid network knowledge (routing switching) and experience with tools like Nagios Zabbix and Prometheus.
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware KVM) and basic scripting (Bash Python).
- Automation experience with Ansible Puppet or Terraform is advantageous.
- Security Knowledge:
- Knowledge of security protocols (NIST CIS) and audit practices.
- Education and Certifications:
- Degree in Computer Science IT or related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (RHCSA CompTIA Linux MTCNA MTCRE) are beneficial.
