Job Description
Position Summary:
The Machine Operator provides essential support to production operations ensuring the manufacturing process remains in control. This role involves gathering information collecting data and making decisions to maintain quality efficiency and workplace organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fastpaced manufacturing environment possess strong attention to detail and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in A.J. Rose safety programs to maintain a safe working environment.
- Operate machinery efficiently to meet departmental production goals.
- Follow detailed work instructions to maintain quality standards.
- Eliminate waste and nonvalueadded time through efficient operation and task management.
- Maintain workplace organization and cleanliness.
- Communicate machine status to supervisors and responsible parties to ensure continuity of operations.
- Document obstacles or reasons for not achieving production rates in the production log.
- Continuously learn and implement new procedures to enhance production performance.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor to support departmental goals and customer requirements.
Capabilities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Mathematical proficiency in fractions decimals metrics and basic algebra.
- Ability to read and interpret graphic displays and detailed procedures.
- Demonstrates dependability a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
