Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Fullstack Engineer to join our Product Safety team. The Product Safety engineering team at Pinterest is dedicated to empowering users to have safe experiences on our platform. Teen safety is one of the top priorities for Pinterest and we approach our initiatives with a teensfirst mindset. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing developing and maintaining our systems and safety tools to protect our users.
What youll do:
- Design develop and maintain highperformance reliable and scalable backend systems for private profiles user blocking and other user safety features
- Collaborate with frontend developers UX/UI designers product managers and other stakeholders to deliver highquality products
- Mentor and guide junior engineers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Participate in code reviews architectural discussions and technical roadmap planning
What were looking for:
- 8 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on backend engineering
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python Java Go or
- Extensive experience with RESTful API design and development
- Experience with frontend development
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to design scalable highperformance systems
