Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $132250.00/Yr. USD $220400.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.

This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients. SRC is searching for a Seniorlevel Systems Architect with experience in establishing managing and overseeing system engineering processes procedures and policies to support United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with system engineering policies and directives apply system engineering and architecture design principles throughout the programs life cycle and producing technical reports models and design drawings. The position requires extensive experience in system engineering disciplines particularly within the DoD context. Work will be conducted at the governments facilities in Colorado Springs CO. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and refining system architectures including functional logical and physical designs using MBSE tools (e.g CAMEO)
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the system meets mission requirements and program objectives
  • Identifying and assessing technical risks developing mitigation strategies minimizing impact to the programs cost and schedule
  • Capturing and translating mission and customer requirements and need into system requirements and solutions
  • Conducting Course of Actions Trade Studies and Engineering Assessments
  • Designing and developing system and enterprise architectures and associated artifacts
  • Collaborating and coordinating with external customers management vendors and other engineering disciplines
  • Overseeing the programs Change Control Board (CCB) and/or Change Management Board (CMB)

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

Requirements

  • 10 years minimum experience in DoD or Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) System Engineering Management including establishment and management of all aspects of Systems Engineering throughout the full program lifecycle (concept definition design test and production) using traditional and modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) methods
  • Assist with definition of high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods subsequent analysis decomposition and derivation of requirements allocation of those lowerlevel requirements to physical and functional architectural elements and tracking them through design verification integration testing and operational validation
  • Assists with risk assessments and generate mitigation plans to comply with system/customer requirements
  • Utilize MBSE tools such as Cameo and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies
  • Any two of the four listed Microsoft exams listed below:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Dynamic 365: Finance and Operations Apps Solutions Architect Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Administrator Expert
    • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • Masters level degree in an Engineering Computer Science or IT related field OR Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or IT related field and additional five years of experience in Engineering Computer Science or IT related fields

Desired Skills

  • Possess INCOSE System Engineering Certification
  • Posses IAT/IAM Level II or greater (e.g. Security CCNA)
  • Possess MBSE or SysML certification
  • Experience in establishing and executing change boards
  • Experience working with Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH) and/or System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT)
  • Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Exceptional organizational verbal and written skills

Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
