MPPF is looking for an assistant for State Policies who is selfmotivated and comfortable working independently in a small remote group setting. The assistant for State Policies will contribute to MPPs mission of reforming cannabis laws and educating cannabis regulators consumers and state legislators. Under the supervision of the Director of State Policies the assistants primary functions will include research and writing related to cannabis policy and scheduling legislative meetings. This position requires realtime outreach and research with limited oversight. The assistant must be extremely detailoriented and have excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities
Performing cannabis policy research and related writing when needed for the Director of State Policies and other staffer
Updating a spreadsheet of legislators stances on cannabis policies
Scheduling legislative meetings
Possibly helping the State Policies with pressure tactics such as inhouse calls texting to constituents and supporters and /or drafting letters to the editor
