Job Description
Exciting opportunity for a Project Director to join our nextgeneration utilities billing software division. The Project Director will lead and govern our largest global project (by man days) providing strategic oversight and hands on management across all phases of complex software delivery. This role is accountable for steering committee facilitation end to end project governance and aligning stakeholder expectations around scope timelines budget and resources. Operating with high autonomy the Project Director will engage directly with Clevel executives and external partners while guiding cross functional teams to ensure successful high impact delivery. This is a fulltime onsite position based in our Melbourne CBD office.
Proven experience managing large scale and complex projects with a strong vendor perspective commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement/relationship management skills. You will have enterprise software experience bringing a strong delivery discipline with a focus on operational excellence quality and client experience. Additionally you will demonstrate:
- indepth knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodology.
- ability to work across time zones (Ireland New Zealand and Vietnam).
- ability to build relationships and motivate teams of people.
- adaptability to a culture of continuous improvement offering fresh ideas while staying flexible.
- excellent collaboration communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Lead endtoend project management aligned with Hansens delivery standards and SDLC acting as the primary point of contact for both delivery and commercial matters. Ensure coordination transparency and successful completion across all streams of work.
- Engage closely with internal teams and clients to clarify requirements align on deliverables and provide clear timely updates. Present project progress and reports to executive team and client audiences in a simple and effective way.
- Establish strong governance frameworks proactively manage risks and maintain consistent tracking of issues dependencies and actions. Collaborate with executive stakeholders on strategic indicators and ensure alignment with delivery policies.
- Handle challenging clients with professionalism and strategic communication. Foster strong trust based relationships while balancing client satisfaction with delivery goals scope and timelines.
- Monitor project progress and financials ensuring highquality outcomes within budget. Prepare cost estimates manage scope changes and negotiate effectively with suppliers when needed.
- Assess team capabilities forecast resourcing needs and promote ownership at all levels. Empower teams to take responsibility reducing the need for executive intervention on escalations.
