Job Description
RATE OF PAY
Sub $24.76 Per hour
FUNCTION:Drives bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule. Comply with traffic regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives a school bus safely and professionally;
Handles stressful conditions in a professional manner;
Performs and properly completes daily pretrip inspections;
Complies with all traffic ordinances;
Complies with discipline policies set forth in the Code of Conduct for Transportation;
Must have patience be neat and personable kind and courteous;
Participates in onsite training;
Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering school bus;
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervises students while transporting them.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must be able to pass a physical exam including drug testing.
CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to obtain a Commercial Drivers license pass State School Bus Skill Test and State Written Test. Oregon Department of Education background check required. Fees may be associated with requirements and/or certifications.
