Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Wayne NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 2nd Shift: 3PM 1AM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $17.13 / hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safetyconscious SitDown Forklift Operator to join our warehouse/distribution team. In this role youll be responsible for loading unloading moving and stacking materials using a sitdown forklift. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a fastpaced warehouse or manufacturing environment and a strong commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a sitdown forklift to move products and materials safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks trailers and containers
- Stack store and stage materials in designated areas
- Perform preshift equipment inspections and report any issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning or documentation
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Follow all company policies safety procedures and OSHA regulations
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 1 years of experience operating a sitdown forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Basic math and communication skills
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
- Experience using RF scanners or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
