Were looking for the next generation of Canvanauts!
Canvas 12week remotefriendly program runs from early December to late February giving you the chance to work on meaningful reallife projects from start to finish. Youll also have the opportunity to visit our campus and experience the magic of Canva in personconsider your summer sorted.
Throughout the internship youll be supported by a dedicated Host and Buddyyour goto people for guidance support and all the inside scoop on life at Canva.

Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney Australia. We also have a campus in Melbourne and coworking spaces in Brisbane Perth and Adelaide. If you call New Zealand home we have our Auckland coworking space too.
But where you work is up to you. Whether youre keen on office vibes prefer the comfort of home or like a bit of bothwe support flexible working so you can do your best work your way.
What youd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.
At the moment this role is focused on:
- Collaborating with your assigned team to design develop test and maintain your intern project
- Developing and maintaining documentation for software development processes procedures and guidelines
- Developing your craft with some of the most talented engineers
- Interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders from both inside and outside your team to deliver highquality work in a fastpaced environment.
Youre probably a match if
- You are currently enrolled and completing your studies between 2026 and mid2027.
- You are based in Australia or New Zealand and have working rights. Please note that Canva will not be able to sponsor visas and relocate for Early Talent roles.
- You have excellent Computing and ObjectOriented Programming (OOP) Fundamentals.
- You are comfortable coding in Python Go or Java
- You have knowledge of cloud architecture concepts and/or InfrastructureasCode
- You are familiar with version control concepts (were using Git!
- You are familiar with different testing principles.
- You have the passion to learn and grow as a technologist.
- You are excited to explore AI tools and use them in smart helpful ways to boost your workflow.
- You are able to commit to the 12week fulltime summer program from early December 2025 to late February 2026.

The Infrastructure Supergroups mission is to make complex technology simple for Canvanauts by building foundational products that will seamlessly propel Canva to the next level of growth.
