OVERVIEW:
The Industrial Designer role will contribute to design projects collaborating with team members and learning from experienced designers. They will assist in the creation of prototypes support design reviews and contribute to the development of new products.
Shark Design is a team of Industrial Designers and CMF Designers working on products across the Shark brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER:
- Assist in creating visualizations and sketches for design concepts.
- Support the implementation of usercentered design principles.
- Contribute ideas and concepts during brainstorming sessions.
- Aid in the development of CAD models and renderings.
- Assist in specifying design details for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on product development.
- Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and materials.
- Contribute to maintaining design quality standards.
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Design or related field.
- 3 years of experience working as a designer in small appliances consumer electronics medical or a related field
- Proficiency in 2D software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Proficiency with CAD Solidworks or Rhino required
- Proficiency with 3D rendering programs such as Keyshot.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Detailoriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in Industrial Design.
- Ability to adapt to a fastpaced environment.
- Portfolio showcasing design projects and process.
