Summer Learning Coordinator

Falmouth High School

Summer 2025

JOB GOAL: The Summer Learning Coordinator will transform a traditional credit recovery program to Summer Learning Program in order to provide students with learning opportunities that will lead to deeper learning of the skills each student needs to learn. Utilizing data the Coordinator will lead the summer teaching staff in creating individualized learning plans in the areas in need of remediation. The summer staff will focus on content learning increasing students selfefficacy for students to develop key competencies and skills. Students will be able to apply knowledge learned and engage in work that matters to them. Teachers will utilize high leverage practices that support deeper learning in the needed areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Massachusetts Licensure
  2. Bachelors Degree or higher.
  3. Knowledge and understanding second language acquisition or SEI Endorsement.
  4. Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers students parents and administrators.
  5. Successful experience teaching students with a wide range of abilities interests and needs.
  6. Applicants must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info.
  7. Such other alternatives as the Superintendent may deem acceptable and appropriate.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist with hiring
  2. Oversee registration
  3. Oversee and maintain teacher/student attendance
  4. Submit Timesheets to Payroll
  5. Parent communication and outreach
  6. Track student work and progress to provide Progress Reports & Final Grades
  7. Scheduling
  8. Communication with Administration and Counselors about student progress
  9. Arrange for the teaching staff to provide content level work focused on skills (supported by data) in need of remediation for credit recovery.
  10. Insure mid summer report is reviewed with student and caregivers
  11. Fulfill such other responsibilities as may from time to time be required.

Duration: FHS Summer Learning Program will run from July 28 August 14

Monday Thursday 7:30 12:30

Total of 16 days

Directors Hours : 7:30 1:30 FHS Summer Learning Program Registration June 2426

SALARY: Stipend: $45 an hour 140 hours $6300 total
