Pearle Vision in Lakewood is looking for a FT Optician

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The basic function of the Optician is to attract and retain patients by delivering an exceptional patient experience foster patient retention and promote outstanding doctor satisfaction.

COMPENSATION: $19 to $22 per Hour. MINIMUM 1 YEAR OPTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture by practicing through roleplaying and using effective retail sales skills.
• Develop professional business relationships with other associates and Doctors.
• Fill ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fit and adapt lenses and frames to include but not limited to the following:
  • Utilize optical prescription in conjunction to the patients visual requirements.
  • Recommend specific lenses and lens coatings to suit patient needs.
  • Assist patients in the selection of frames and coordinate frames to prescription and patient need.
  • Perform appropriate optical related measurements.
• Ensure a quality patient experience through correct pricing POS entry and realistic delivery time quotes.
• Provide appropriate guidance to patients regarding Managed Vision Care.
• Assist the store with being effectively merchandised according to the Planogram and other Company standards.
• Assist with the timely of approved Marketing programs and initiatives and the implementation of appropriate signage and promotions according to company standards.
• Other duties as assigned by Store Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 1year experience required.
• ABO preferred but not necessary.
• Working Saturdays and reliable transportation is a must.
• You are a people person who strives to give outstanding customer service every day.
• You have outstanding sales and people skills. Good sales and/or customer servicebackground is a huge plus
• You are well groomed and well dressed (no visible tattoos etc.
• You are looking for a second home and a rewarding place to work and not just a paycheck.
• Yourreferences and background will be checked (no alcohol or drug problems)

We are open Monday Friday 10 to 6:30 and Saturday 9 to we are closed. You will have one weekday off on top of Sundays. Training and support provided. Benefits and advancement opportunities available.

EDUCATION:
