Job Description

We are looking for an Estimator for our Brampton/Ingersoll location. Reporting to the Estimating Manager this position is responsible for preparing and selecting acceptable quotations for projects within the Corrugated operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates of costs and pricing for projects via interface with design and production
  • Responsible for gathering information and documentation relevant to the look materials and construction of a project
  • Communicate project component requirements to appropriate vendors including verbal discussion and a hard copy of documentation transmissions
  • Present project/item pricing to management for signoff and to Sales and/or the customer
  • Ensure the integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects
  • Compile an analyze vendor quotations clarifying any outstanding issues
  • Select acceptable quotations among bids for individual component business post elements to estimation worksheet for cost accumulation
  • Project pricing determination review findings and quotation proposal with supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary Diploma/Degree in a related discipline or equivalent training and minimum of 2 years of experience in Estimating
  • Strong mathematical and accounting skills and capable of understanding production/machine capability and tolerances
  • Excellent analytical interpretive and problem solving skills including strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced level Excel skills preferred
