Job Description
Brunswicks Special Education Department seeks a School Psychologist to support its Child Find duties for students in grades K12 immediately.
* Applications will be reviewed on 2/3/25 but position will remainopen until filled.
A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills an ability to build positive relationships with students and a willingness to collaborate with parents community members special educators regular educators service providers and administrators as appropriate.
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Administer and interpret a variety of evaluation instruments
- Compose comprehensive evaluation reports
- Guide IEP Teams through the special education eligibility process
- Demonstrate knowledge of federal and state special education regulations
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including both regular education and special education professionals
- Communicate effectively with fellow staff administrators and parents
- Assist in the development of teaching and learning techniques relevant to specific areas of exceptionality
- Consult with systemlevel school teams for ongoing professional development
- Other jobrelated duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a School Psychologist or Valid Maine Department of Education Certification as a School Psychologist 093
- Valid Maine Criminal History Records Check
- Prior school district experience preferred
