Job Description
The Assistant Director Data Certification within the Office of Institutional Success and Decision Support OISDS will work collaboratively as a member of the team and will interact with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Director Institutional Reporting and Analytics the Assistant Director manages the production and submission of accurate and timely state and federal compliance reports and other external reports for the university. The Assistant Director through close collaboration with a supervised analyst and key university offices (e.g. Provost Registrar Admissions Human Resources) is responsible for ensuring the data integrity and timely submission of compliance reports.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manages the state and federal compliance reporting cycle for the institutional research function. Oversees the production and certification of all Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board THECB and federal IPEDS compliance reports. Oversees the production of all other state compliance reports (e.g. LBB . Extensive knowledge of state and federal compliance reporting requirements and deadlines. Ensures the updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for related reports and processes. Maintain a working knowledge of the Universitys business processes and procedures and how data is stored within the major systems of record. Lead an initiative to identify and implement best practices in the production validation and storage of state and federal compliance reports. Maintains high standards and security in data management and integrity in response to internal and external data requests. Collaborates with the data warehouse team to ensure data and reporting integrity and accuracy. Build and maintain relationships with related departments and offices. Work closely with other campus offices to resolve data integrity issues. Serve as the primary office contact with relevant state THECB LBB and federal NCES DOE NSF agencies. Supervises trains and develops direct report(s). Maintains an ongoing program of professional development through membership and active involvement in organizations such as the Association for Institutional Research AIR . Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
