Matchwell is hiring XRayTechnologist for a major medical center in Macomb IL! See below for full details and benefits.
Pay Range:To be determined based on experience will discuss during interview/onboarding process.
Schedule: Direct Hires will discuss details in interview
Job Responsibilities:
- Receives assignments. Reviews requisitions and physician orders. Prepares room equipment medicine and materials as needed for patients.
- Identifies interviews and screens patient for proper diet preparation and for possible allergy to contrast materials.
- Consults with supervisors radiologist and physician as needed.
- Prepares patient for xray by instructing and explaining procedures to patient transfers patient to table or positions patient and assists patient at end of procedure.
- Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific xrays.
- Takes xray images in other areas of the hospital with portable equipment. Transports equipment to areas such as operating room emergency room or patient room. Observes sterile technique completes procedure promptly especially due to anesthesia in due to trauma in the emergency room.
Special Requirements
Must be available for emergency calls. Attendance at professional and educational programs requires travel which may involve overnight stops. Equipment Machines Tools Materials and Work Aides
Education/Experience
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiologic technology.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with an active status preferred.
- Licensed by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.
- CPR required.
