Group/Division

Enabling the movement toward advanced chip design KLAs Measurement Analytics and Control group (MACH) is looking for the best and brightest research scientists software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers to join our team. The MACH teams mission is to collaborate with our customers to innovate technologies and solutions that detect and control highly complex process variationsat their sourcerather than compensate for them at later stages of the manufacturing process. With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp nextgeneration devices to volume production quickly and costeffectively. Our MACH team develops leadingedge solutions for patterning process analytics and control technologies thereby providing customers with critical insight at the feature level field level and crosswafer analysis. Our teams also develop advanced modeling simulation data analytics and process control modeling technologies. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Recent advances in semiconductor patterning processes have opened many new possibilities for controlling these processes to ensure high yields. One such exciting opportunity is to generate digital twins of the wafer 3D process itself and also the process control tools to then evaluate solutions and recipes that would provide best combined performance and ultimately wafer yield. The Computational Modeling Software Systems Engineering role involves the development use and productization of such wafer process digital twins for enhancing wafer process control.

A successful candidate in this role will be working with a talented and diverse group of experts in the area of semiconductor process integration inspection and metrology to understand and prioritize requirements for the digital twin. These requirements then need to be worked with software and model development team members in ultimately coming up with robust process emulation and physical simulation software solutions.

• The jobscope is broad and includes developing and implementing highly efficientand robustalgorithms models and data processing routines developing software requirements from marketing requirements detailed software designs initial prototype and later production code including both front end GUI and backend algorithm unit tests andintegratedtest cases maintaining released versions etc.
• Experience and proven ability in providing computational 3D software solutions in an R&D and production environment is essential.

• The candidate must bring a high level of energy and willingness to work with other engineers in a fastpaced agile and energetic team environment.
• Handson software engineering position with the potential for leading and managing the program.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or MS in engineering mathematics physics or computer science related to 3D simulation scientific computing or semiconductors
• Minimum 2 years professional software engineering experience preferably developing a 3D simulation software product
• Direct experience with the implementation of both 3D physical simulation and geometric algorithms such as finiteelement finitevolume raytracing polygon manipulation or level sets.
• Experience or strong interest in managing people and/or projects
• Strong background in modern C programming HPC graphic accelerators and/or webbased software engineering
• Strong fundamental math skills including linear algebra calculus and geometry
• Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts
• Experience developing quick prototypes for demos and also working on largerscale software projects
• 10 to 20 onaverage travel will be required

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Masters Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelors Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $130400.00 $221700.00 Annually
