Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth were looking to add a/an Electrical Engineer Product Development located in Henrico VA.
Reporting to the Director of Engineering the Electrical Design Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and improving our electrical systems. Collaborating closely with sales project managers procurement production quality assurance and fellow engineers. Your ability to analyze customer feedback will directly influence our product design and development.
What a typical day looks like:
- Develop electrical designs for critical power systems ranging from standard to complex solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to establish product requirements for new and existing electrical systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and CAD designers on diverse engineering projects.
- Create userfriendly operation and maintenance manuals.
- Validate testing procedures using manual processes testing tools and database queries.
- Work alongside the quality team to assess metrics and improve product design and production timelines.
- Foster a culture of electrical safety throughout the department and the company.
- Create prototypes conduct tests and analyze the results to refine our offerings.
- Diagnose and recommend solutions for issues arising during manufacturing.
- Manage deliverables such as technical support interdepartmental interactions and project documentation.
- Execute change control management effectively.
- Travel occasionally and be available outside of normal business hours as required.
The experience were looking to add to our team:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABETaccredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of power distribution experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UL standards including UL 891 UL 1558 UL 67 UL 857 UL 1008 and UL 62368/60950.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical system diagrams blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
