What Youll Be Doing
- Load and unload cargo from vessels and trucks.
- Operate forklifts and other terminal equipment
- Inspect and maintain equipment for safety and functionality
- Manage inventory and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation.
What Are We Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment as well as hand/power tools
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job including lifting heavy objects and comfortability with heights
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to a postoffer preemployment physical examination drug/alcohol screen and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment inclement weather heat cold humidity and elevated noise level.
- Hours: 6a 3:30pm but occasional overtime and oncall to meet business needs.
