Duties and Responsibilities
1. Direct and coordinate the activities of managers and employees engaged in the production of food products.
2. Demonstrate positive leadership practices including setting clear goals with managers and employees providing regular feedback and contributing to a positive and motivational work environment.
3. Work with Maintenance and Engineering to develop strategies to reduce production equipment downtime due to equipment failures.
4. Coordinate with various departments and personnel across the site to ensure efficient operations within the plant
5. Assume complete responsibility for all activities of the plant and performance.
6. Calculate labor and equipment requirements and production specifications using standard formulas.

8. Build a competent team by communicating corporate objectives and expectations to direct reports.
9. Enforce plant GMPs Food Safety policies and procedures federal state and local regulations. SQF general plant housekeeping and organization.
Skills and Experience
Functional and Technical Skills: Minimum five years in food production required.
Excellent communications skills required including active listening and effective speaking.
Motivating Others: Demonstrated skill in contributing to a motivating work environment.
Ethics and Values: Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest ethical standards in the work environment.

Qualifications
Fouryear degree preferred Twoyear associate degree vocational training or equivalent experience required.Minimum of five years of experience in food production/plant management.
