Position: Inclusion Specialist

183 days 24 days/week 12 month contract
Purpose:
The Community Education Inclusion Specialist will support children with diverse abilities and needs within Community Education programs (Early Education & Compass School Age Childcare) ensuring every child receives individualized care resources and support in an inclusive welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inclusion Planning and Staff Training: Develop individualized inclusion plans for children and provide training for staff to ensure effective implementation and support.
- Inclusive Environment Development: Collaborate with staff to create activities and environments that are inclusive and welcoming for children of all abilities.
- Advocacy and Support: Act as a resource and advocate for children parents and staff actively promoting an inclusive approach within the program.
- Instruction and Awareness: Deliver lessons to both large and small groups on cultural acceptance socialemotional development differing abilities and linguistic awareness.
- Accommodations and Modifications: Make necessary adjustments to curriculum lessons and learning environments to meet the needs of all children.
- Ongoing Staff Development: Provide continuous training and support to staff on strategies for working effectively with children who have unique challenges and abilities.
Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as BCBA RBT LSW LPC LMHC LCPC or a teaching license with proven experience in educational or similar settings.
- Extensive training and experience in data collection Conscious Discipline TeacherChild Interaction Therapy (TCIT) mental health practices child development and/or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) are preferred.
Compensation: Minimum hourly rate $32.94 depending on qualifications and experience.
