Job Overview
The Principal Water Resources Advisor will be part of the Water Resources Policy & Regulation Team; responsible for assuring compliance with the Regulatory Conditions within our portfolio of Abstraction Licences and ensuring the Business is prepared for Drought events. Reporting to and influencing stakeholders and Regulators.
- Review and evaluate all aspects of WR Licences and Drought Permits & Orders to meet the requirements of the regulators.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of abstraction licence and drought permit / order applications.
- Review and maintain policy and procedure manuals relating to abstraction activities
- Influence operational capital programmes to deliver improved compliance resilience
- Support other team members and wider business
About You
- Preferred experience in water resources / water industry
- Preferred experience in a regulated company / regulating organisation
- Preferred skills / demonstrable understanding of surface water / groundwater models
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills; internal and external
- Experience of negotiating with and influencing
- Excellent report writing skills
