The Glenmore Distillery has been a fixture in the Owensboro Community since the late 1800s. During Prohibition The Glenmore Distillery was fortunate enough to be one of four distilleries in the country allowed to operate on a limited scale for medicinal necessity.
In March of 2009 the Sazerac Company purchased the distillery and reprised the name The Glenmore Distillery. The distillery boasts one of the largest and most modern bottling facilities in the country and continues to be a sizable employer in the city of Owensboro KY.

Job Description/Responsibilities
Sazeracs Safety Internship offers students a thorough opportunity to work in the distilled spirits industry. This role supports all bottling/distilling/distribution Safety and Environmental initiatives.
Our Interns work closely with ouroperations top talent gain a thorough understanding ofour departmentsandthe career opportunities within each all while working hands oncontributing to and leading projects that directlyimpact company productivity and growth.
Expectations of Technical Internship:
- Work with a mentor to develop project plans and set goals.
- Complete health and safetyprocess improvement projectsinassigned areas
- Develop and write standards for assigned processes.
- Technical intern eventswill also be available both in and out of work. These include networking throughout the company time with senior leaders and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors level degree in Environmental Science Health Industrial Safety Industrial Hygiene or related field
- Ability and willingness to commit to the entirety of Sazeracs internship program
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
