Description

Emerson is seeking a motivated and detailoriented Financial Planning & Analysis Intern (Summer 2025 to join our Finance team at our North America headquarters McKinney Texas.

As an FP&A Intern you will gain valuable handson experience supporting the financial planning forecasting and reporting processes for a global manufacturing organization. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with business leaders and finance professionals to drive datadriven decisionmaking.


In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models used for forecasting budgeting and longterm planning
  • Analyze monthly financial performance identify trends and variances and provide actionable insights
  • Prepare management reporting packages and dashboards for internal partners.
  • Support the monthend close process through data gathering reconciliation and analysis
  • Partner with crossfunctional teams to gather business inputs and validate financial assumptions
  • Contribute to operational improvement initiatives and automation efforts within the FP&A function
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed
Who You Are:
You stay aligned with your goals and stay make new connections and build relationships in other areas and understand the importance and interdependence of internal customer drill down to root causes to gather relevant focus on priorities and set stretch apply analytical tools to help explore potential scenarios.
For This Role You Will Need:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field
  • Commitment to fulltime 40 hour) Summer Internshipexperience in McKinney TX from June 2025 August 2025.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems (e.g. SAP Hyperion Power BI) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
  • Interest in manufacturing and global business operations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
