Job Description
Job Title: Factory Technical Manager
Salary: 60k
Location: Nottingham Riverside
Reports To: Head of Technical
Are you an experienced Technical Manager with a passion for quality compliance and food safety Join our team at Compleat Food Group as a Factory Technical Manager and play a key role in ensuring excellence across our site.
About the Role:
As a Factory Technical Manager you will be responsible for ensuring technical compliance across the factory enforcing customer requirements company standards and legal regulations. You will drive continuous improvement manage a factoryfacing technical team and collaborate crossfunctionally to maintain the highest standards. You will also represent the company during retailer meetings audits and visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical compliance across the site ensuring adherence to legal and customer requirements.
- Manage the factory technical team ensuring high factory standards and driving improvements.
- Develop and implement technical plans aligned with retailer and company requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure a joinedup approach.
- Set clear SMART objectives for the technical team with regular performance reviews.
- Ensure audit readiness and maintain high accreditation standards.
- Support product processes and design from a technical perspective.
- Drive dataled improvements to enhance site performance and quality standards.
What Were Looking For:
- Degree in Food Science or a related field.
- HACCP Level 3 & Food Safety Level 3 certification.
- Lead Auditor & TACCP/Integrity qualifications.
- Proven track recordin technical/quality management within food manufacturing (ideally chilled foods).
- Experience working with UK retailers(e.g. JS M&S Asda Waitrose).
- Strong people management and communication skills.
- Knowledge of UK and European food regulations and retailer Codes of Practice (COPs).
- Proficient in MS Office specifications systems and raw material management systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
