The Position
This is a excellent opportunity for cybersecurity attorneys who are eager to advance their careers and take on significant substantive responsibilities in defending complex cybersecurityrelated cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key advisor to clients during all phases of cybersecurity and data privacy incidents from initial triage through resolution
Analyze and interpret state federal and international privacy laws including HIPAA GLBA CCPA and GDPR to provide sound legal guidance
Draft and manage data breach notifications to affected individuals and regulatory agencies ensuring compliance with applicable laws
Prepare crisis communication materials in collaboration with clients and external stakeholders
Respond to and manage regulatory investigations and enforcement actions stemming from data breaches
Interface directly with clients providing practical solutionsoriented legal counsel in highpressure situations
Draft detailed reports for clients and insurance carriers outlining incident findings risk exposure and recommended next steps
Qualifications
Active bar admission and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum of 2 years of legal experience with at least 2 years focused on data privacy and cybersecurity matters
Indepth understanding of privacy and data protection regulations including HIPAA GLBA FERPA CCPA GDPR and related state/federal laws
Proven experience managing data breach investigations and incident response protocols
Strong research and legal writing skills with proficiency in Lexis Westlaw and related legal research tools
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally
Technical or IT background is highly desirable
Litigation experience is a plus
Thrives in a fastpaced collaborative environment
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive teamoriented approach
