Location: Monticello NY
Hours: Sunday Thursday night 10pm6 am off days Fri Sat
Rate: $17.50/hr with $0.50 awake night differential.

$2500 Sign on bonus

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:
The Supported Housing Specialist (Site Based and Scattered Site) will function as an assistant to the case manager to perform a variety of tenant support functions. The staff will be responsible
for documenting client interaction.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
  • Selectively provide transportation for clients to medical appointments/shopping and other appointments deemed necessary by the Supervisor.

  • Assist in rent collection and skills development for any of the tenants residing in Temple Hill apartments in the Supported Housing service.
  • Assisting with monthly newsletters facilitating job fairs assisting job coach back up case manager finding trainers to hold classes on budgeting food prep etc. client support assisting clients with goal achievements conflict resolution teaching responsibility of paying bills create activities for tenants and link to resources in the community.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:
  • Activities can consist of engaging the parent/caregiver in activities in the home and community
  • Assisting parent/caregiver in meeting the needs of the youth through educating supporting coaching modeling and guiding
  • Teaching parent/caregiver how to network/link to community resources and treatment providers
  • Teaching parent/caregiver how to advocate for services and resources to meet the youths needs
  • Guiding and support linkage to individual peer/parent support and selfhelp groups for parent/caregiver
  • Family Partner have firsthand knowledge of the services and supports available in the community
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
  • Candidate will work flexibly but primarily Monday Friday; possible evening or weekend hours when necessary to meet the needs of clients. This position can work either at our Site Based Housing sites in the community or in combination. Be a parent or primary caregiver of a child with a diagnosed history of emotional/behavioral health disorders; and would be willing to share your experiences with participants and colleagues.
  • The ideal candidate will have: Reliable vehicle with clean and insurable drivers license
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years related Experience
Bilingual English/ Spanish Speaking a plus
Related Associates degree or Bachelors preferred
