What you will be doing:
- Maintain accurate data within the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
- Ensure proper mapping of Configuration Items (CIs) and their dependencies.
- Perform regular audits and data quality checks to ensure CMDB integrity.
- Develop and enforce governance policies for configuration management.
- Lead the endtoend Change Management process to minimise IT service disruption.
- Review and assess change requests for risk compliance and alignment with business objectives and ITIL standards.
- Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor change implementation and report on outcomes identifying areas for process improvement.
- Collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to configure design and maintain workflows for change and configuration processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation and process efficiency using platform capabilities.
- Ensure platform functionality aligns with organisational needs.
- Act as a liaison between IT business units and vendors for change and configuration activities.
- Provide training and support to stakeholders to ensure consistent process adherence.
What our client is looking for:
- A relevant tertiary degree would be beneficial (IT Computer Science etc.
- ITIL Practitioner: Service Configuration Management
- ITIL Specialist: Plan Implement and Control
- Additional ITIL certifications (advantageous)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Change Management or CMDB
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (advantageous)
- 5 years of experience in ITILbased Change and Configuration Management roles
- Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks and best practices
- Experience initiating and chairing Emergency Change Advisory Board (ECAB) meetings
- 3 years of handson experience with ServiceNow focused on Change Management and CMDB modules
- Experience working in multinational organisations and managing crossfunctional teams
- Solid understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance requirements
