Join Our UX team as Senior User Experience Designer!
Are you passionate about UXdesign and looking to make a significant impact in a global organization Ascom is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior User Experience Designer to be part of a fantastic team and together take our UX initiatives to the next level.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented Senior User Experience Designer to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave for at least one year. In this role you will be responsible for creating user experiences that support users in their daily work and positively impact the business. You will lead user research interviews and surveys translating them into sitemaps user flows storyboards customer journey maps wireframes and prototypes. Additionally you will translate these into requirements and specifications working on a strategic level and collaborating with stakeholders and the UXteam.
Ascoms products really matter for the users providing personal safety and mission critical information in segments like acute care elderly care and enterprise. Ascom has a broad product portfolio including physical digital and hybrid products. Some of our products fall into the medical device directory. Experience in this field is valuable but not mandatory.
You will be part of a UX team of five responsible for the User Experience of Ascoms product globally. You will be responsible for the solutions for one of the market segments. The team works broadly with everything from strategies to detailed design in Figma. We are in the process of maturing our design system experience from this area is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Experience Vision: Translate the user experience vision to a vision for given features and products driving workflow analyses for identified user workflows.
- User Research: Drive plan and perform user research and usability evaluation; analyze communicate and drive improvement work based on conclusions.
- Communication: Drive communication of the user experience of products and the usercentered design approach within the company.
- Feature and Product Innovation: Elaborate conceptualize and innovate features and products according to the user experience vision and business goals.
- Design Specifications: Produce design specifications for implementation and prototype material for usability evaluation and external communication.
- Product Development: Take the user experience perspective in product development to ensure the products usability and technical feasibility.
- Usability Evaluation: Drive improvement work and develop strategies for usability evaluation processes and methods according to current regulations.
- Planning and Coordination: Drive the planning of user research and usability validation identify evaluation needs and plan coordinate and perform usability evaluation.
What Were Looking For:
- Education: University degree in User Experience Cognitive Science Industrial Design User Interface Design or equivalent.
- Experience: 610 years of work experience as a UX Designer UI Designer or similar role.
- Technical Competencies: Subject Matter Expert in User Interface Design Visual Design Human Computer Interface (HCI) Design User Experience Design and Usability Evaluation. Advanced proficiency in Agile Methodologies and Prototyping.
- Functional Competencies: Advanced proficiency in Analytical Thinking and Presentation Skills.
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio of successful design projects.
