Job Description
Bullhead City School District is seeking a highly qualifiedSchool CounseloratSunrise Elementary.
This position requires certification by the Arizona Department of Education.
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters Degree: Official transcripts documenting a masters or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
CurrentCounselorcertification with appropriate endorsements as set by the Arizona Department of Education.
Positive recommendations from past employers and/or training institutions.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
REPORTS TO: Principal
- Providing counseling to students who have disciplinary problems
- Providing counseling to students with excessive absenteeism
- Provide shortterm individual and small group counseling services to students
- Consult with teachers to schedule and present lessons to classrooms based on developmental needs and needs identified throughdata
- Consulting with teachers about buildingclassroom relationships effective classroom management and the role of noncognitive factors in student success
- Advocating for students at IEP meetings 504 meetings and student intervention team meetings
- Analyze schoolwide and school counseling program data
Job Type: Fulltime flex schedule 45 days a week
