Core Responsibilities:
- Assist internal and external customers with parts questions checking stock availability and ordering parts from vendors or other outside sources.
- Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests maintaining contact with all involved parties regarding parts order status.
- Interact with the Service Department to fulfill parts needs for vehicle repairs and service.
- Ensure internal requests for parts are billed correctly on the repair order.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and other work areas and assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of parts inventory areas.
- Notify the Parts Manager of outofstock parts or other materials that require immediate attention.
- Participate in annual inventory counts.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Auto parts back counterexperience including 3 years of GM parts catalog experience is required.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone.
- Teamoriented with a positive attitude.
- Technology proficient including the use ofMicrosoft Office Suite along with the ability to adapt to various dealershipsoftware.
- Good time management organization and multitasking abilities.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 25 lbs.
- A valid drivers license and clean driving record are required.
- Must pass a preemployment background check and drug screening.
Hours and Work Environment:
Hours are Monday Friday 8am 5pm and every third Saturday. This is an onsite role working indoors at the parts counter and in the parts warehouse.
