For our Business Area Markets we are now looking for a
Working student (m/f/d) to support Analysis/Structuring & Valuation
For our office in Hamburg ElbSide.
Do you want to develop and apply your mathematical modelling skills by supporting us in our model development and pricing of structured products Become one of our working students at Vattenfall and kickstart your climate smarter career. Together you will contribute to a fossil free future.
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as a working student to support the Structuring & Valuation team in Business Area Markets.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Further development our volatility modelling landscape
- Implementation of local volatility / stochastic volatility model for commodities
- Pricing of structured products
- Being involved in and improve operational processes
Qualifications :
Your profile
- You are studying mathematics engineering sciences physics economics computer science or a comparable course of studies and are at least in the third semester of your Bachelors degree or in your masters degree
- You have a focus in mathematical finance and are familiar with nonGaussian stochastic processes
- Enjoy programming
- You have experience with Python and analytic libraries (Pandas Numpy)
- Fluent in English
- Enthusiastic about working close with other members of the team sharing ideas and developing models together.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize own work taking initiative to improve processes when required

More information
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Working time: 20 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week (fulltime) in vacation time
- Duration: minimum 6 months
