CenClear is hiring! CenClear a provider of Early Head Start (EHS) services is seeking a dedicated Home Visitor to deliver homebased services. This role involves promoting the following: healthy prenatal outcomes appropriate development of young children and healthy family functioning.
As an EHS Home Visitor you will also be involved in organizing group activities and community events. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with expecting mothers infants toddlers up to age 3 and their families. Join our team today!
Location
This position travels throughout the Matternville area and is housed at the CenClear Preschool located at CenClears Matternville Center located in Port Matilda PA. This position may have access to a company vehicle due to daily travel. Compensation for time and mileage occurs based on the reimbursement policy.
Hours
- 37.5 hours a week 50 weeks per year
- 10 paid holidays per year
Compensation
- The yearly salary range for this position isapproximately $2900$37000.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with homebased Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or a comparable credential or
- A minimum of an associate degree in early childhood education or related field with experience working with children.
- Experience working with adults.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Access to transportation.
- Ability to plan and implement homebased learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum.
- Ability to network/collaborate with team members and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History PA Child Abuse History FBI Criminal History and Mandated Reporting Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly 90minute home visits to young children pregnant moms and their families.
- Monitor and educate parents on childrens health status including medical followup physical health dental health mental health and nutritional intake.
- Provide education and support services to families using the EHS researched Based Curriculum.
- Conduct group socialization experiences and other family group activities.
- Recruit families to participate in our program and establish family development goals.
- Act as a liaison and advocate between community resources and Head Start families.
- Complete and document referrals to community resources.
- Support transitions for all children aging out of the EHS program.
- Participate in initial training plan and annually acquire a minimum of 15 hours of professional development.
- Conduct screenings and ongoing assessments for child development and utilize data to create education goal and literacy goals.
- Plan home visits based on child development and family needs.
- Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about CenClear staff children parents consumers/clients and families.
- Attend all required staff meetings and participate in onthejob training
- Communicate openly with supervisor by reporting any issues concerns or problems.
- Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.
