Job Description
Primoris Services Corporation is searching for a Staff Accountant in the Lewisville TX area. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in maintaining and supporting the corporate accounting function. For this role we are looking for a proactive selfstarter who enjoys working in a challenging and fastpaced environment.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for monthend financial reporting and accounting tasks including preparation of journal entries reconciliations and financial reports.
- Prepare variance analyses for managements review.
- Prepare various schedules for the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Develop and maintain documentation for business and system processes for assigned responsibilities.
- Assist with SOX audit requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 23 years of professional accounting experience public or industry.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills (oral and written) must be able to work and communicate with individuals at all levels across the organization.
- Ability to work as a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Viewpoint software a plus.
- Accounting experience in the construction industry preferred.
- CPA or pursuing designation preferred.
