Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop a common application platform using bleeding edge opensource software stack
- Work with an enterprise applications development team building new applications for internal users and employees
Education & Experience
- Currently pursing a Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field.
- Familiar with open source tools like API gateways Schedulers CI/CD Log analysis Reporting and dash boarding.
- Experience and/or interest in some (not all) of the following: NodeJS React Native Angular JS VueJS MongoDB MySQL Postgres Docker Kubernetes SQL Java.
- Excited about using latest opensource software & frameworks methodologies & tools.
- Not afraid to evaluate/try new methodologies/frameworks/tools to improve development process and/or user experience.
Skills
- Not afraid to evaluate/try new methodologies/frameworks/tools to improve development process and/or user experience.
- Excited about joining a team that is focused on building next generation platform that will be used by employees around the world.
- Have past application development Internship or Project experience is a plus.
- Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
Working Conditions
- This position is onsite
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
- Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
- May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate project
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing writing and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
